It's about time I break down my favorite character from one of my favorite shows...I've done so many other Avatar character videos but this one was the most fun to make. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it!

Fun fact I recently found out: In the Dutch translation/dub off Avatar, Zuko is voiced by the same voice actor who also does voice of Malfoy in the Dutch Dub off Harry Potter, Sander van der Poel. and I thought he does a good job.

I headcanon Zuko as autistic. He seems to have some motor problems, which is why it takes him longer to learn Firebending. Even though he becomes quite powerful, Iroh still has to correct him on the basics as a teen. He is seen mimicking Azula (even though she’s the younger sibling) and later does the same with the members of Team Avatar. As a child, he throws a rock at a turtleduck because he saw Azula do something similar, and Ursa has to explain to him that just because Azula thinks it’s funny to throw rocks at turtleducks doesn’t mean it is. He has some unusual communication patterns, such as not being able to tell Iroh’s “leaf me alone” joke correctly, and practicing his script before asking if he can be Aang’s Firebending teacher. One trait that particularly catches my attention is Zuko’s relationship with lying. He has to actively convince himself that Azula is lying to him. I can’t say for sure, but maybe the reason his father thought his eyes didn’t have “the spark” was because he never looked people in the eye directly.

Ozai is not Zuko’s father If you read the comic Avatar The Last Airbender: The Search you will see that Ikem for the town Hira’a is Zuko’s father. Also, Zuko’s mothers real name is Ursa. Ursa and Ikem loved each other Ursa lived in Hira’a but Ursa was taken and became the princess of the Fire Nation. Also Zuko did not fake his death Zhao hired pirates to kill him. Check your facts 😉.

Zukos story makes me feel even worse for Azula. She never got any love as a child, and craved it but was still abused by Ozai.

Wooooow wait, that´s it !!!! 4:35 So Zuko was about to die on Azulon´s orders as a punishment for Ozai, however I can imagine he wouldn´t care.....but as soon as his mother heard the news, she struck the deal with Ozai, that she will kill Azulon to ensure Zukos safety, Ozai was all in bcz that would make him firelord but also the part of the deal was that she will dissapear, maybe by her choice or his thats still debatable ... i’m pretty sure it’s mai since mai and zuko fell into that fountain in the palace in the flashback they showed, “izumi” means fountain. Maybe just a coincidence idk

We all have that "friend" who have seen just the first episode of ATLA and you have to convince him that Zuko is the best character of the entire franchise

This show is so perfect man. I loved the character development for Zuko so much! See when you have a bad amd abusive father you either allow yourself to become him or worse to your kids, or you become everything you wanted/needed as a child growing up to your kids. We got to experience him becoming his father while zuko idolized him and did everything he could to make him proud but thanks to the guidance of everyone' (favorite) uncle Zuko became a better person, learned to coexist or overcome his demons, and successfully became everything that his father wasnt as a man. So in the end of an amazing journey, Zuko become everything he wanted but most importantly became a great, loving, and kind Father. Truly this show was a masterpiece. It's so sad that I don't see any possibility of another sequel or prequel achieving the level of rewatch ability, connection, of love for the characters and show in general.
